Earth Day is almost here—April 22nd! 🌍 It’s the perfect time to celebrate our planet and think about all the ways we can take care of it. And who better to help us than Night Buddies very own Crosley?

Sure, he’s loud. Sure, he’s red. And sure, he’s obsessed with pineapple cheesecake. But even Crosley knows that keeping the planet clean and green is a mission worth staying up past bedtime for.

In honor of Earth Day, Crosley is sharing his very official, slightly silly, yet definitely helpful guide to becoming an eco-friendly Night Buddy. Grab your greenest socks, your sharpest detective hat, and let’s get to work!

1. Be a Light Switch Ninja

“Whenever you leave a room, flip that light off. Unless you’re sneaking out for a mission, in which case—tiptoe first, flip second.” – Crosley

Turning off lights when you’re not using them is one of the easiest ways to save energy. It also keeps your house nice and dark for surprise nighttime missions. Bonus!

2. Don’t Waste Water (Even When Brushing Your Fangs)

“Real Night Buddies brush fast and don’t let the water run while they’re doing it. Unless you’re a crocodile and have, like, a lot of teeth.”

Turn off the faucet when brushing your teeth or washing your hands. It’s an easy way to help save gallons of water each week—and Crosley says it gives you more time to focus on the important stuff (like cheesecake).

3. Reuse, Recycle, Rethink

“If it’s got a little triangle on the bottom, don’t throw it out—sort it out!”

Teach kids how to recycle properly by checking for recycling symbols on containers. You can even turn this into a Night Buddies mission: Operation Recycle Recon! How many recyclable items can you find in one day?

4. Go Outside and Plant Something

“Plant a flower, plant a tree, plant a pineapple—wait, can we grow cheesecake?”

Gardening is a great way to connect with nature. Planting something simple—like herbs or wildflowers—teaches kids patience, responsibility, and the magic of watching something grow.

5. Walk, Bike, or Skate Like a Sneaky Night Buddy

“If you can get there on two feet (or four paws), do it!

Riding a bike or walking instead of driving helps reduce pollution and makes for some pretty cool urban adventures. Crosley swears that skateboarding to the cheesecake factory is both eco-friendly and stylish.

6. Make Something Cool Out of Trash

“One Night Buddy’s yogurt container is another Night Buddy’s turbo-powered dessert launcher.”

Instead of tossing empty containers or boxes, use them for crafts! Challenge your kids to create their own Night Buddy sidekick using only recycled materials. Egg carton wings, bottle cap eyes, cereal box body—go wild!

Even Crocodiles Can Go Green

Being a Night Buddy means doing the right thing—even when no one’s watching. That includes protecting the planet, picking up after yourself, and making sure every cheesecake wrapper goes in the right bin.

So this Earth Day, take Crosley’s advice: reuse, recycle, reduce—and always bring snacks.
